For many years now, Morgan Freeman has been an environmentally conscious person that cares about the environment and has been voicing his concerns of global environmental awareness. According to Grist: Environmental News and Commentary, in 2005, Morgan Freeman was named to the board of directors of Earth Biofuels, a Dallas-based producer of biodiesel. In the interview article, Mr. Freeman expressed, “Our situation with global warming and air quality and all of that, has gotten to be catastrophic. Otherwise, nobody would be paying attention…but, environmental causes is one place where you can get me to open my mouth. And put my foot in if necessary.”
Actor Morgan Freeman is an African American with a commanding speaking voice, a talented and respected individual and a man whose goal and passion is not only acting, but a man with an advocating interest in environmental awareness who is raising interest on the Earth and its global concerns.
Many of us know Mr. Morgan Freeman as the man on the PBS show The Electric Company, who taught the viewers the fundamentals of reading. Those televised lessons developed my passion for reading at an early age and today, my intrigue is in the state of our planet Earth and its global effects. We owe this in part to the illustrious and commanding voice of actor Morgan Freeman and many other celebrities that are telling us to take notes, be aware, and to make a difference in how we impact the changes of the atmosphere, the environment – our world.
Morgan Freeman continues to be the most admired actor with a resounding presence in Hollywood and many young actors look to him for advice. But the most rewarding advice Mr. Freeman gives is when he speaks out about global warming and the effects of our environment. Congratulations Mr. Freeman, for the plethora of characters and for being a dynamic actor. Most of all, accolades to you for being a champion among champions for the greatest cause of all - the protection of our environment. Mr. Freeman was in a serious car accident on Sunday and we are praying for his full recovery.
