An exciting summer internship in Chicago becomes a no holds barred competition as they each vie to reach the top of the heap in a career-changing contest. With a group as motivated, confident and accustomed to winning as these kids are, it won’t be long before sparks fly!
Tight deadlines, behind-the-scenes rivalries and big city living all turn up the temperature as the interns learn to survive in the hothouse atmosphere of a Fortune 500 corporation. Alliances are forged and broken, romances bloom and fade, and morale seesaws while this tenacious group of overachievers does whatever it takes to conquer the professional and personal challenges they meet. Pressure builds as it almost comes to blows—and that’s just the girls!
Will they have what it takes to make it in the professional world? It’s a 21st century look at “how to succeed in business” as BET's COLLEGE HILL: INTERNS captures the drama, the surprises and the triumphs of one amazing summer. COLLEGE HILL: INTERNS is produced by Edmonds Entertainment and BET.
MEET THE CAST
IVY: 23, University of South Florida, marketing major- She’s “the sexiest virgin you’ll ever meet” with an advanced degree in “fabulosity.” Ivy’s plans for the future include becoming a business and entertainment mogul and philanthropist, just like one of her personal heroes, Oprah.
KHASHEEF: 21, Georgia State, finance major—Khasheef is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, but don’t ask him what goes on there, because “what happens in the frat house stays in the frat house.” His most important role model is his dad and after getting a masters degree, Khasheef wants to follow in his footsteps as an entrepreneur and investor.
JENNA: 22, St. Louis University, marketing major—Jenna’s not just beautiful; she’s got brains, as evidenced by her cum laude graduation one semester early. She wants to be a model, an actress and a TV personality, but that’s just a step toward her ultimate goals—owning a clothing store and a nightclub, and establishing a non-profit community center for kids in her hometown of St Louis.
KATHY: 20, Illinois State University, theater major—Kathy loves music, especially Lauryn Hill, and her dream job is BET VJ. Openly gay, Kathy says that she walks just like Naomi Campbell. What would she change about herself if she could? “Nothing, because God made me exactly how he wanted.”
LETIA: 21, Chicago State University, pre-med major—Before she gets around to founding a healthcare empire, Letia is planning to become a plastic surgeon. She says that J. Lo is an important role model for her. Romance is on the back burner for now—she’s been single and loving it for over a year and a half.
LONNIE: 22, Prairie A&M, mass communications major—A self-proclaimed workaholic, Lonnie plans to be a “kingpin in promotions” after graduation. He’s proud to be the first African American to graduate from his high school. Lonnie says he’s not ready for a committed relationship just yet, because too many ladies love him to pick just one.
MAURICE: 21, Morehouse College, health science and business major—Maurice, or “Mr. Reese” as he’s known, says he has no time for relationships, but that didn’t stop him from hooking up with one of the beautiful contestants on the show. Being a basketball coach sounds like the ideal job to him—if Hollywood doesn’t call first!
SPENCER: 19, North Carolina A & T State, public relations major—In his own words he’s “tall, dark and handsome, with a lotta swagga.” An aspiring actor, Spencer is manly enough to don women’s clothing when the occasion calls for it. He’s president of the school’s public relations society, but always has time for a fierce game of UNO.
TATIONNA: 19, City University of New York, advertising and public relations major—Tationna calls herself “a nerd on the down low” because of all the math and science awards she has tucked away. She’s planning to become a household name when she starts her own PR firm after college, but for now her romance with fellow intern Maurice keeps her plenty busy.
MARC: 23, Southern Polytech University, business management major—the show’s resident jock, Marc is captain of his school’s basketball team and hopes to play for the NBA. He lucked out in the roommate department—Marc is sharing a room with three beautiful girls, including his not-so-secret crush, Jenna. Will that change his mind about wanting “Beyonce to take my last name”?
