Inspired by a true story, American Gangster, the grippingly intense crime-thriller acclaimed by Critics and Audiences as one of the best films of 2007 will be available in two versions on the exclusive American Gangster 2-Disc Unrated Extended Edition DVD that includes both an unrated, extended movie with over 18 additional minutes and an alternate ending PLUS the original theatrical film.

The movie stars academy award winner: Denzel Washington, and Ruby Dee, who has been nominated for an academy award based on her role in American Gangster. The movie boasts an all star cast also including Cuba Gooding, Jr., Chiwetel Ejifor (Children of Men) and popular rap artists Common, RZA and Tip “T.I.” Harris.

American Gangster is an in depth look at the true story of Frank Lucas, a notorious Harlem crime boss. The DVD features interviews of both Lucas and the now retired detective Richie Roberts. The film depicts a look at how the drug problems and wars started in the 1970’s on the streets of New York.
